MIDWAY FARM – thermally broken technology for an ancient country home

external view of the classic country home with Internal view with brass windows with thermally broken technology

The renovation of this Virginian classic country house needed a particular attention as it’s listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The architect had to work tightly with the Department of Historic Resources and follow very strict requirements to guarantee the final result was in line with the original design. Brombal was able to ensure the elements could fit all the details required by creating arched French style doors with in an antique-like finish but with thermal broken technology. Sloped glazing beads were used to imitate as much as possible the style of the epoque.
