HAMMERSMITH – perfect insulation and wide glazed surfaces

External vew of the View of the Thermally Broken Windows and Doors

This Canadian contemporary stone house was to be a real example of how it’s possible to combine materials and designs of different ages in just one project. The rustic taste was given by the thousands of rocky stones building the walls while the big fenestration areas gave a strong sense of modernity. Due to the climate conditions of this area, another important requirement was the energy efficiency. The Brombal’s thermally broken windows and doors were installed  to guarantee a perfect insulation while the wide glazed surfaces allow the sunlight to enter whole house.
