GALLERIA DELL’ACCADEMIA – burnished brass for an elegant renovation and minimal design

Bronze windows with minimal sightlines inside the Accademia museum in Venice

Since this is one of the world’s most prestigious museums, the restoration deserved both the best architect and top quality materials. The architect was Tobia Scarpa and Brombal was chosen to provide its luxury metal windows and doors. The project had very specific requirements to meet minimal visual impact but in the same time high functional performance for both acoustic and thermal needs. The burnished brass finishing gave elegance and class to the building. The strong profiles with thin sections minimized the impact and the simple design could easily follow the traditional structure of the museum.
